Google Business Profile in Paisley & Renfrewshire
Your Google listing decides whether you show up at all.
Before anyone reaches your website, they meet your Google Business Profile: the pin, the little panel, the reviews. Get it right and you become eligible to appear in the map results. Get it wrong and you're invisible before you start.
Why it matters most
The quick wins live here, not on your website.
People assume the website is where the work is. Usually it isn’t. A lot of the damage, and nearly all of the fast fixes, are sitting in the Google listing: a pin dropped in the wrong field, a category that describes the wrong trade, a phone number that doesn’t match the one on your van.
I go through it properly, in the right order, and I tell you which fixes take ten minutes and which take longer. Nothing gets dressed up as harder than it is.
What’s included
Set up right, then kept right.
Ownership, in your name
You as Primary Owner, me as a manager you can remove. Your asset, never mine.
The pin, in the right place
Where Google thinks you are, checked against where you actually are. A misplaced pin is invisibility with a simple cause.
The right primary category
The single most powerful field you control. Chosen for the work you want, not the work you fell into.
Name, address and number aligned
Matching across your site, your listing and the directories, so Google trusts what it’s reading.
Reviews, earned not bought
A simple way to ask that gets you real ones. I’ll never invent a review, and you shouldn’t either.
The figures that are actually real
Calls, direction taps and clicks, straight from Google. First-party, credible, and part of every monthly report.
Being straight with you
A tidy listing is the start, not the result.
Getting the profile right makes you eligible. It doesn’t make you rank.
Fixing the pin and the category can put you back in the running in days, and that feels like magic. It isn’t the finish though. Once you’re eligible, the real work of earning your place begins, and proximity still decides a lot of it. I’ll show you the map so you can see the difference between eligible and winning.
Questions
Worth asking.
Who owns the profile?
You do, always. You're the Primary Owner and I'm added as a manager, which you can remove in two clicks whenever you want. I never take ownership of a client's listing. If you leave, you keep the profile, the reviews and everything on it.
Isn't it just a case of filling it in?
The fields are easy. Knowing which ones actually move you is the job. The main category, the pin, the name matching your website and your van, the way you handle reviews. Most listings I see are filled in and still invisible, because the parts that matter were guessed at.
Will adding more service areas help me rank wider?
No, and it's worth being clear about that. Listing twenty towns doesn't make you show up in twenty towns. How close the searcher is still decides the map results. Wider coverage comes from your website, not from a list of areas on the profile.
My profile already exists but I can't get into it.
Common, and fixable. Sometimes a previous marketer or a well-meaning relative set it up and holds the keys. I can walk you through claiming it back so it's properly in your name before we touch anything.
Where you stand
Find out where you actually rank.
Send me your business name and the areas you cover, and I’ll check where you’re showing up across your patch and where you’re not. There’s no charge for it, and if you’re already doing well I’ll tell you that.
